Jacob Agee
Jacob Eoin Agee, a poet, essayist and translator from Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, was born and educated in Belfast and now divides his time between Ireland and Croatia. A scholar of Holocaust and Genocide Studies, he has translated Slavko Goldstein’s study of Holocaust denial, Jasenovac: tragedija, mitomanija, istina (Jasenovac: Tragedy, Mythomania, Truth) and is currently translating Ivan Goran Kovačić’s classic long poem on genocide within Yugoslavia during WWII, Jama (Sinkhole). His poetry has appeared in numerous publications. Slavenka Drakulić’s Invisible Woman is his first published book-length translation.
