Mirko Božić
Mirko Božić was born in Mostar in 1982, where he graduated from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. He writes poetry, prose, literary reviews and columns. His works have been translated into English, French, German, Spanish, Danish, Albanian, Slovakian, Polish and Slovenian. Author of the poetry collection Jedrim kroz buru (2001, Antun Branko Šimić Award for young poets), Bijele noći (2004) and Mrlje na njenim rukama (2012, Zdravko Pucak Award) and monograph Mostar iza kulisa (2017). He launched the international literary festival Poligon and published in magazines and anthologies both locally and internationally. Mirko Božić took part in the stage play Ljudi iz struke (2010) in Kragujevac, Serbia and worked on the German film Home Stories. He is also active as a literary translator. A columnist of the Slovenian website Literature and a critic on the website Moderna vremena. He is the winner of the CEI Fellowship Award for 2014.
