Branka Primorac

Branka Primorac, a journalist, writer and photographer, was born and educated in Zagreb. She graduated at the Political Science College and at the School of Journalism. She edited different sections in newspapers; she was the chief editor of the collection “Best Croatian Novels in Twenty Books”, published by VeËernji list; she was a cooperating teacher of journalist style at Novigrad Spring School for Talented Elementary and Secondary School Students and a mentor at Lidrano. She is married, and has two children. Her hobby is photography and she has had six one-man shows on the subject of tree-tops and the lace-makers from the island of Pag, and took part at several group exhibitions. She has published a number of books, including School Excursion, which won Mato Lovrak Award, Mum, Watch out for the Dog!, Everything because of Ana, The Love Case of the Cat Named Jojo, My Grandpa the Austronaut and Perešin, Life and Death. She also writes chidren’s stories for the radio and the crime stories under the pen-name of Adela M. Fisher and Fischer.
